Alumni Coach CHS Rowers to Maadi Regatta Success

Last week, Molly Judson and Joe Young (both Class of 2020) coached CHS rowers to achieve one of the best Maadi Regatta results the school has had. Joe was the head coach for the season and was supported by Molly, who coached the U16 Girls Quad and U15 Girls Octuple to gold medals at the regatta.

Both young alumni have been involved as coaches ever since they finished school and have played an integral part in the development of the Cashmere High School Rowing Squad.

In addition to the two gold medals mentioned above, the U18 Girls Quad and U17 Girls Quad rowed their way to gold medals and Cashmere High School won top overall sculling school in New Zealand.

Joe Young was subsequently awarded Coach of the Year at the Canterbury Rowing Association Awards – an outstanding achievement.
